The Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Trust Chairman Bob Annells today announced the appointment of Peter King as Chief Executive of the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre. Mr King is currently the Chief Executive of the Royal Agricultural Society of NSW, one of the largest event and venue management organisations in Australia.

In his current role, Mr King has each year overseen the largest single event in Australia – the Royal Easter Show – and has played a leading role in securing Government investment for the new $65 million, 25,000 seats Main Arena Stadium which, amongst other things, will host the Greater Western Sydney AFL team.
